We visited an assembly at South Crosland Junior School to give some details of project.
We:
1. Covered the role of Huddersfield in the Rugby League World Cup;
2. Launched our art and writing competitions for schools, based on the life story of Douglas Clark (rugby league international, World War I hero and world wrestling champion) about whom we have a put together a short photostory with text, narration and music.
Prizes for competition winners include our two sets of Collectors' Cards, 'Huddersfield Giants' and 'Fartown Greats', of Huddersfield's greatest players (some images on the penultimate slide). These are currently in production.
